Michigan football returns to the Big House Saturday to take on Maryland. Here’s everything you need to know including how to watch and stream.

After sneaking out a victory last week on the road against Northwestern, the Michigan football team will be at home Saturday and it will host Maryland in a rare early kickoff so far this season.

While the Wolverines come into the game as 17.5 point favorites, the 3-1 Terrapins are a team that should be taken seriously. And with Wisconsin, Michigan State and Penn State looming for Michigan football after Maryland, UM better make sure it’s focused Saturday.

A big key in recent weeks for Michigan has been starting fast. At home, the Wolverines have done that much better than on the road and it will be interesting to see how that plays out. One thing is for sure though, after allowing 17 points in the first half last week, the defense will be determined to keep the Terps in check.

We’ll see if that happens and if Karan Higdon can break off some big runs early as he did against Nebraska. If so, it could be a long day for Maryland. But with kickoff hours away, here’s all the info you need for the Terps and Wolverines including how to watch and stream the game.

Who are the Terps?

Maryland comes into Saturday with a 3-1 record overall and a 1-0 mark in Big Ten play. The Terps rolled Minnesota last week 42-13 and boast the third-best rushing offense in the Big Ten at 258 yards per game.

Their one loss was to Temple and that was a lopsided 35-13 affair but the Terps also beat Texas, which is ranked in both polls just like the Wolverines. It’s a big game for both teams in the brutal Big Ten East. Maryland needs a win to help its bowl hopes and get to 2-0, while the Wolverines hope to keep pace with Ohio State with three ranked opponents in the next three weeks.

One area where Michigan football should have an advantage is the passing game. Maryland has one of the worst pass offenses in the country and has just three touchdown passes through four games. UM, on the other hand, has the best pass defense in the Big Ten and the third-best run defense, so points may be hard to come by for the Terps.
