Michigan Football vs Nebraska: How to watch, storylines and more
Michigan football will go for its third straight win Saturday against Nebraska. Here is how to watch, storylines and more on the Huskers and Wolverines.
For the past couple of weeks, Michigan football fans have been taking the results over teams like Western Michigan and SMU with a grain of salt. The Wolverines are supposed to beat those teams and since they weren’t even Big Ten games, they weren’t given much credence.
It didn’t matter that the offense scored 94 points and the defense gave up just 23. Fans weren’t going to be happy no matter what happened. Now that Big Ten play starts with Nebraska Saturday, that will probably, well it will probably stay the same.
The Huskers are 0-2 under new head coach Scott Frost, however, they have only had their preferred quarterback for about 3/4 of a game. If Adrian Martinez had gone the distance against Colorado and Troy there is a chance that Nebraska is 2-0.
Either way, fans can’t complain too much about wins. And make no mistake, Nebraska has some talented players at wide receiver, running back, along with the defensive line. There are big-time weaknesses in the secondary, but the Huskers can run the football and through two games, can stop the run.
With kickoff less than 24 hours away, here’s a look at how to watch, along with some of our coverage leading up to the game.

Who are the Huskers?
Nebraska, like Michigan football a few years ago hired the prodigal son to return home to coach the team and that’s Scott Frost, who led UCF to a perfect season in 2017.
So far, things aren’t going as well for Frost. His star freshman quarterback got hurt after accounting for three touchdowns in three quarters against Colorado and Nebraska lost a heartbreaker. Last week against Troy, Nebraska lost another tough game with backup Andrew Bunch at quarterback.
With a 0-2 start, Frost and the Huskers are going to be desperate to get a win and make a statement. Upsetting the 19th-ranked Wolverines as almost 19-point underdogs would certainly qualify.
Of course, the big thing to watch is who starts at QB. If its Martinez, this should be a tight game. Yet, if it’s Bunch, the Wolverines should have an easier time controlling things.
Our Coverage
Leading up to the game this week, one of our experts, Matthew Bartlett looked at why the Huskers are still a trap game for Michigan. The Big Ten as a whole had a pretty crazy weekend in Week 3 and our Peter Arango takes a look. I also predicted all nine Big Ten games for the Wolverines and guess what, I have them at 8-1.
I examined why the Michigan offense needs to be more aggressive and take the handcuffs off quarterback Shea Patterson. We also looked at what this game means for Michigan football and what it will tell us about this team in particular.
In other news, Chris Evans and Karan Higdon should be able to play against Nebraska and if you don’t know much about new commit Daxton Hill, see why landing him was such a big deal.
Last but not least, I took a stab at three predictions for Saturday. See why I have the Wolverines topping the Huskers 31-23.
