After a bye week, Michigan edges out Penn State 31-28 (6-0)

Following back-to-back games against Wisconsin and Michigan State, the Wolverines will use their much-needed bye to heal up and get ready for a Penn State team that throttled UM a season ago in Happy Valley.

With Saquon Barkley and Trace McSorley, the Nittany Lions, the second-ranked team in the country at the time, dominated the No. 19 Wolverines last season 42-13. Of course, O’Korn stunk up the joint and Barkley was, well, he was Saquon Barkley.

Yet, the player that really killed Michigan was McSorley, who threw for 282 yards and a touchdown, while also running for 76 yards and three scores. Mobile quarterbacks have always hurt the Wolverines as Brandon Wimbush showed earlier this season.

So expect Penn State to score some points in Ann Arbor. But seeing how the Penn State defense ranks 76th in the nation after facing App State, Pitt and Kent State, Patterson and the Wolverines should be able to score enough to best McSorley.
