Michigan wins defensive struggle vs Maryland at home 27-10 (3-0)

When Maryland first played at Michigan football after joining the Big Ten, the Terps won at the Big House in one of Brady Hoke’s final games. The 23-16 loss that day was ugly, maybe one of the worst performances of the Hoke era and there were a lot of duds.

Since Harbaugh has taken over, it’s been all Wolverines. Michigan has won 28-0, 59-3 and last year 35-10 in what is now an East division matchup. Don’t get me wrong, the Terps are better this season and looked solid in a win over Texas.

Maryland’s other win came over Bowling Green but then followed that up with a loss to Temple. Certainly, Maryland is good enough to make things competitive against the Wolverines, especially with a defense that as of right now, ranks 22nd in the nation in yards allowed.

The Terps are especially good against the run, which means Shea Patterson will have to step up and even though Quinn Nordin will need to kick a couple field goals, the offense does enough to win by double digits.
