Michigan Football: 3 predictions for Wolverines against Notre Dame
Michigan wins by double digits
Michigan football is going into the game Saturday as a one-point underdog but on paper, it looks to me like its the better team. The Wolverines have the better quarterback and the better defense and that should be enough to win the game.
Many people have labeled the offensive line as a huge concern, but I think Patterson will help avoid sacks and negative plays. He will also make something out of nothing a few times, a trick that didn’t happen often in Harbaugh’s first three seasons.
Both teams will struggle to run the football and points will be at a premium. However, at the end of the day, I think Michigan gets two touchdowns and three field goals, giving them 23 points.
Notre Dame isn’t going to score that much. I have the Irish pegged for 13-17 points in this game, meaning they need to hold UM to just a couple of scores to win. Last season, that would have been pretty easy but with Patterson, not so much.
Therefore, I am predicting a final score of 23-13. I think Michigan wins and looks impressive doing it. Here’s hoping this time, I actually know what I am talking about.
