Moe Wagner has already had success playing in DC

Having a player that with Wagner’s height that can shoot close to 40 percent from 3-point range is tantalizing to NBA scouts. Just about every team in the league can use a player that like, but in Washington, the fit would be perfect.

The Wizards already have a talented roster with John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter. However, their bigs could use some work.

Markief Morris had a good year in 2017-18, as did Kelly Oubre. Yet, after that, the Wizards are thin and it’s hard to know if either of those players is part of the long-term plan.

Wagner is a strong pick-and-roll or pick-and-pop player and that fits ideally for the NBA game. Teaming with Wall or Beal, he could be deadly. The Wizards are selecting 44th, which seems a little late. Certainly, if he falls, don’t be surprised if Washington pulls the trigger or finds a way to get him in a trade.
