Jim Harbaugh is still an elite head coach

It takes talent to win in college football, there is no doubt about that. But it also takes elite coaching and despite what some might think, Michigan football still has that in spades.

Not only do the Wolverines have Harbaugh, who is still a damn good coach, but they also have Brown, the defensive coordinator, who might be as good as any in the country. With those two, Michigan won’t be out-coached by many.

But at the same time, Harbaugh is running out of excuses. He has the quarterback he wants, he has a defense that is good enough to win national or conference championships, and he has an offense with NFL talent at running back, tight end, wide receiver and with Patterson at quarterback.

The Wolverines will find a way to bounce back. It might not mean what everyone wants it to, however, 10 wins seem like a solid bet. Michigan will win a 50-50 game next season. In fact, I think it will win a few.

The pieces are in place to be successful. Harbaugh doesn’t need anything more than what he has to be successful. Now it’s up to him to make it work and I for one, believe he will.
