Get the offense going, especially the 3-point shot

Sometimes Michigan basketball fans probably get sick of seeing their team hoist up 3-pointer after 3-pointer. Well, get used to it, because the Wolverines are going to keep shooting them. It’s part of who they are and against Texas A&M, it’s critical that UM start hitting more 3’s.

Against Montana and Houston, the Wolverines struggled from deep. UM hit just 13-of-46 shots from beyond the arc, which is only 28 percent. For the season, Michigan shoots 36.4 percent.

The Wolverines attempted 30 3-pointers against Houston and with the way the Aggies play defense, that might be another possibility. Johnson is an elite shot blocker and that’s going to make it tough to get inside. The key will be stretching the floor and that will be the job of Moe Wagner.

Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman also needs to get it going. He made 1-of-12 3’s in Wichita and surely, that won’t continue. If Wagner, Duncan Robinson and Rahkman can shoot a solid percentage from beyond the arc, UM will be tough to beat.
