Jordan Poole shoots Michigan into Sweet 16

If not for his amazing last-second shot, Poole wouldn’t be on this list. In fact, he wouldn’t even be close. But his spectacular 30-foot shot, which hit nothing but net, is the reason the Wolverines have a pulse, so he can’t be left off the list.

Over the course of the two games, he scored only 11 points and played just 19 minutes. He took just seven shots, but made four of them, including 3-of-4 shots from 3-point range. The freshman also notched a steal against Houston, as well as a couple rebounds.

However, his impact, in the last play of the game against Houston is why he’s here. Poole seems to have a flair for the dramatic, as John Beilein said he hit two buzzer beaters in a scrimmage last week.

So when the head coach saw the ball in Poole’s hands for the final shot, he knew it was in the right spot. Poole drained the three and the rest is history.
