Isaiah Livers comes up huge

Michigan basketball doesn’t always get a lot of credit for its ability to recruit, but when you look at guys like Isaiah Livers, you wonder why?

On the road, in a tough environment, the freshman played lights out. Wagner clearly wasn’t himself, so someone else needed to step up and in the front court, that was Livers, who was perfect from beyond the arc on his way to getting 15 points. On top of that, he added three assists, two rebounds and two steals.

The Wolverines don’t really have anyone like D.J. Wilson, but if there is one guy that could eventually fill his role, it’s Livers. He’s an ideal stretch four and a guy that could prove to be a great compliment for Wagner inside.

This is generally the time of year that John Beilein starts to trim down his rotation. Right now he is down to 10, but even if he gets down to eight, Livers isn’t going anywhere.
