Moe helps Matthews save the day

Just like Matthews, Wagner was enormous in the comeback win for Michigan. He scored 10 points in the second half and two more in overtime to help the Wolverines rally from 15 points to win.

His two biggest shots were probably two clutch 3-pointers that he made late in the second half. The second triple from Wagner got the Wolverines within two points at 60-58. He also played well on the defensive end, grabbing two steals and four rebounds.

Wagner did miss some opportunities at the free throw line like Matthews, going 0-for-3. But when nothing else was working, he carried the team in the first half, scoring 11 points to keep the Wolverines within striking distance.

Matthews and Simpson played as big a role as Wagner in the second half, but there’s no doubt, Michigan doesn’t beat UCLA without the effort it got from Moe.
