Michigan Football: 4 reasons the month of November matters
Hopefully, Michigan finds its quarterback of the future
Momentum, getting 10 wins, getting into a major bowl and finishing strong should all be motivating factors for Michigan. But another thing to pay attention to in November, is the quarterback position.
As we all know, Harbaugh doesn’t like to commit to much. As he says, Michigan football is a meritocracy. So the best players will always play. But quarterbacks are always a little different and if Peters gets a chance to play all four games, he could take a huge step towards locking down the job.
To take that next step, the Wolverines need to find a big-time quarterback and who knows, maybe Peters is it. Obviously, 14 pass attempts against Rutgers is not enough to tell, but it was a good start.
However, if Peters can help Michigan football beat Minnesota, Maryland and either Wisconsin or Ohio State, it will tell us a lot more, especially if he plays well doing it. So for no other reason than that, the month of November will prove to be important for the future.
