What the Wolverines offense will face

While the defense will give Michigan football a good chance to win, the offense needs to more than just not lose the game. The Wolverines need to find a way to run the ball and generate some explosive plays. Thankfully, the Hoosiers defense is no juggernaut.

The Hoosiers are eighth in the Big Ten in yards allowed (357 YPG) and also rank ninth in scoring defense after allowing 25.6 per game. Those numbers are also a little inflated by the shutout against Charleston Southern.

However, what should cause Michigan football to licks its chops, is the Indiana run defense. The Hoosiers are giving up 152 yards per game on the ground (10th in the Big Ten), which should provide ample opportunity for UM to establish a ground game.

Making things even more promising for the Wolverines, is the fact that Indiana has forced just four turnovers in 2017 and intercepted one pass.
