Key No.1: Knee braces along the D-Line
Option teams are famous for two things. Running the ball well and cut blocking. They aim for the knees. They fire out of their stance, stay low, and try to knock everyone down at the line of scrimmage. The tricky thing about the AFA is they don’t run the option every play. So you never quite know when the cut block is coming. Lovely.
It would not be a good thing to come out of this game with a big injury list along the D-Line, so hopefully Michigan football is prepared for preventing that. Once player safety is handled, then we can worry about the speed at which they execute and staying on top of all the multiple stuff they do on offense.

Air Force will definitely give Michigan something different to prepare for and that is always a challenge. But as long as the Wolverines can stop the Falcons from running for 300 yards or something on offense, they should be just fine.
