2. Get good Offensive Line play

We have heard good things about the OL coming together. We have heard good things about them having a more serious attitude than last year’s group (throwing last year’s senior OL-men under the bus a bit?) and I’m going to believe it’s true since I’m such a Pollyanna. But it would be nice to see some real progress on the field.

We have seen our top three RB’s do things last year, in spring and heard good stuff from fall camp. We have seen some of our WR’s last year and many of the young guys in the spring and in fall camp.  We have seen Speight all last year and I’m sure he’s gotten better, not to mention anyone who may zoom past him to earn his job. I feel good about the skill positions, even if absolute verifiable proof does not yet exist.

But the OL? Still a mystery I will believe when I see results. We’ll talk about that again after Saturday. If Michigan football gets good OL play it will go a long, long way to nailing this one down IMO. Who are we looking to start here? From everything I hear it looks like we’ll get LT: Cole; LG: Bredeson; C: Kugler; RG: (Probably) Onwenu; RT: (Most likely) Runyan. This is pretty much who I was expecting to start here back in July when I did my OL depth chart which you can find here:
