Michigan Football: 4 keys to beating Florida
Stop Florida’s passing game
The Gators have three QB’s who have made their coach’s job difficult in picking one. Yep, sounds familiar. This also makes it hard to game plan when you’re not sure which guy you’re going to face. They have their top receiver (Antonio Callaway) among the suspended. They also have a four-star WR, Freshman (James Robinson) on the suspended list. That is not a good way to start the season, especially against a Michigan football team rated #11 in the AP poll.
Michigan Wolverines Football
Michigan’s most worrisome position group – the secondary – was evidently coming together right at the end of camp, by several accounts. That is a good thing. It could be our biggest worry early in the season.
I’m pretty sure the Wolverines DL and front seven in general will be ready to make for a miserable life for any of the three Gator QB’s who happens to be the unfortunate one to be on the field at the moment. Or maybe I’m spoiled by last year’s defense. But I do expect that if Michigan comes out with a serious attitude and take care of the Florida passing attack, it can go a long way toward sewing this game up early.
If we stop their passing attack cold and make their offense one dimensional I’m pretty sure our front seven will also shut down their running game and make it a miserable day for the Florida faithful. If we don’t shut down their passing attack it could be a long day, a close game, and it could go either way.
