Michigan Basketball vs Nebraska: 3 Takeaways from the Wolverines Win
Michigan is playing its best basketball at just the right time
While the biggest thing for Michigan against Nebraska was getting a win on the road, it was nice to see the Wolverines add to the momentum they have built at the end of the season.
Going in, it wouldn’t have been a huge surprise to see the game end up being close. Nebraska has a poor record, but they have been a top-100 RPI team for much of the conference season. Plus, if the Huskers had won, they could have avoided playing on the first day at the Big Ten tournament.
Yet, the Wolverines shot the lights out. They have done that at home plenty of times this season, but that was the first time Michigan has gone out and shot 63 percent and scored 90 some points on the road.
Every key player in the rotation did something good and made at least one 3-pointer outside of Xavier Simpson. Duncan Robinson continued his good shooting string with two more triples and Abdur-Rahkman had another solid outing with 13 points.
Defensively, Michigan also limited Nebraska to just 57 points on 42 percent shooting, which was a positive development for a defense that has been shaky at times.

All in all, it was a good win for Michigan and it should send UM into D.C. with plenty of confidence.
