Colorado needs to beat Washington, just not by too much

Colorado has been on a roll lately, beating ranked opponents Washington State and Utah in their last two games. Tonight, the Buffaloes can score their biggest win in years if they can upset Washington for the PAC-12 championship.

With Michigan football just trailing Washington in the latest playoff rankings, it would seem that a Husky loss would be enough for the Wolverines to sneak in.

So yes, cheer your heart out for Colorado to win. But be careful, because if the Buffs win too impressively, it’s possible for them to earn some consideration.

After all, Colorado did play a very competitive game against Michigan football. The final margin was 17 points, but in truth, it was much closer than that. In fact, the Buffs led the game 14-0 and didn’t lose control until they lost their starting quarterback Sefo Liufau.

It seems like with Penn State and Ohio State, there is some separation between Michigan and Colorado.

Yet, if the Buffaloes beat the Huskies in dominant fashion, that could change.

So root hard for Colorado tonight, just not too hard, cause this time of year, style points matter.
