Jabrill Peppers did all kinds of things for the Michigan football team last season and that, coupled with his incredible physical abilities, is why NFL teams will certainly be high on his talents next April.

Peppers still needs to find what his permanent role is going to be on the football field. Last year, he played safety, corner and running back mostly. This year, who knows. He spent a lot of time with the linebackers during the spring and with his tackling skills and coverage ability, he could do well in that role.

Despite being moved all over, he posted 45 tackles, 5.5 of which were for loss. He also notched 10 passes defensed on his way to earning First Team All-Big Ten honors, while also being the named the conference’s Freshman of the Year Award.

It seems to me that with his ability to tackle, run and cover in space, he would be a perfect safety for the pass-happy NFL. He’s not afraid to get his nose dirty, but also wouldn’t have problems being singled up on the outside. He’s also a decently talented blizter off the edge.

My guess for Peppers is that he doesn’t last past the second round, although I wouldn’t be shocked if he somehow found his way into the first.
