Dakich hasn’t been a significant contributor during his two seasons at Michigan, and I’m not expecting that to change. It’s not a knock on Dakich; Michigan’s backcourt will just be that deep and talented for another year.
Next season could be a different story with Albrecht and LeVert both being seniors.
We haven’t seen enough of Dakich to really know what to expect if he were to take on a bigger role. He’s taken 12 shots in two years and has played mostly in garbage time.
It isn’t, however, very difficult to gauge what kind of a teammate Dakich is.
The plan last season was for Dakich to redshirt, but because of injuries and illnesses, he stepped up.
“If you need me to play, I’ll play,” Dakich told Beilein. “Do not feel bad about burning my redshirt. This is what I want. To help the team. To contribute, even if it’s really nothing, just to give guys a rest.”

What kind of role will Dakich play this season? Probably nothing that will catch your attention, but he’s obviously willing to step up if need be.
