He’s on time and on target

Remember when Devin Gardner would almost always be late on everything going to his left? That was really weird. Fortunately there’s no indication that Peters is going to have a similar quirk in his game.

He throws a sharp ball, and it’s thrown on time. Of course not everything is always going to be completely accurate, but he made the throws you’d expect a major college football quarterback to make, and then some.

Peters threw a few back-shoulder darts and end zone fades that landed perfectly where they needed to. His receiver was the only player on the field with a shot at the ball, and that’s something fans would be very relieved to see.

There were a few questionable decisions here and there, but that’s expected, and there wasn’t anything outrageous. His deep ball was hit-and-miss most of the night, but he was going against very tight coverage.

Where Peters looked most impressive was in the intermediate game. The ability to throw a dime on a slant route on third-and-eight is what can set you apart from the good quarterbacks.

In all, there certainly wasn’t anything glaring. He was sharp and precise for most of the night.
