12. Gerald Ford

Ford played football for Michigan in the early 30’s, winning two national titles with the team in 1932 and 1933. He played on both sides of the ball while at Michigan. On offense he played center, and on defense he played linebacker. His number 48 jersey was retired in 1994. Ford turned down the NFL to continue his education and eventually he joined the Navy. Ford is most known, however, for his political career. After Richard Nixon resigned, Ford served as President of the United States from 1974-77.
