5. Jalen Rose

Rose played at Michigan from 1991-94 and was part of the legendary Fab Five. He was a second team All-American in 1994 with the Wolverines, and helped lead the team to two National Title game appearances (in 1992 and 1993). Rose then entered the NBA and went on to have a 13 year career for six different teams. He finished his career averaging 14.3 points per game, 3.8 assists per game, and 3.5 rebounds per game. Rose now works for ESPN, and in 2011 opened the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA). The academy just graduated it’s first class last month. Rose has been a great philanthropist in the state of Michigan, especially the Detroit area.
