John O’Korn (Redshirt Sophomore)
The news that John O’Korn was transferring from University of Houston turned a lot of heads. O’Korn was named Houston’s starting quarterback during his first year with the team in 2013. He went on to throw for over 4,000 yards and 28 touchdowns. Because of this incredible career beginning, O’Korn earned the 2013 “AAC Rookie of the Year” award. However, a poor start to his sophomore year caused him to lose the starting position and ultimately led to his decision to transfer. After deciding between several high profile schools (Florida and Texas to name a couple), John decided to take his talents to Ann Arbor. John is a smaller, more mobile quarterback than what Harbaugh is used to, however, his freshman year he showed a great ability to throw for accuracy and use creativity when the playbook broke down. Because of the NCAA’s transfer eligibility rules, John will have to sit out this upcoming season, but don’t sleep on O’Korn’s chances to lead the Wolverine’s offense for the 2016-2017 season.
