 1. 1997 Season-

The team coming in at number one is the only team on the list that was not coached by Bo Schembechler. Lloyd Carr led the ’97 Michigan team to a National Title with a perfect 12-0 record. They had a dominant defense that was led by Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson, and an offense led by quarterback Brian Griese that was underrated. There were 31 members of the ’97 National Championship winning team that went on to play in the NFL.
