3. 1971 Season-
Bo Schembechler led the 1971 Michigan team to an undefeated regular season on their way to the Rose Bowl to take on Stanford. Michigan held a lead late in the fourth quarter, but Stanford kicked a last minute field goal to come away with the win. Michigan finished 11-1 and was ranked fourth in the Coaches poll. The ’71 team had four All-Americans that season and 16 players from that roster went on to play in the NFL.
