I live in the Farmington School district and my son played Football for Bechtel and Farmington 7-8 years ago. I still attend a few games a year and have seen David Reese play several times. A couple of points.
David Reese comes from a great family. Dad is assistant principal at Farmington High school. There is always a group of 10-20 supporters (Friends, extended family, etc…) Great support system.
Kid is a thumper, he can really hit.
Started at fullback / linebacker on varsity from the first game his freshman year. Played guard, not fullback as a sophomore, as the team tried to be a spread team that year. Back to fullback as a junior. As a freshman he was listed as 5-11, 215, so he has always been big.

I always thought fullback for David. I thought he was a little short and a little slow for linebacker. However his Dad is about 6-3, so he may have some still have a chance get a little taller. Also, his performance at a recent camp in Chicago indicated his coverage skills were improving so his speed/agility may be improving, so linebacker is not out of the question for him.
I think David will do really well at Michigan be it at fullback or linebacker. Good get by Coach Jim Harbaugh.
2016 Michigan Football Class:
Michigan currently has six recruits at this time with Erik Swenson (OL), Dele Harding (LB), Brandon Peters (QB), David Reese (FB/LB), Kingston Davis (FB), and Matt Falcon (RB).
