All the Minnesota fans will be howling about how they fill their stadium for high school and college hockey.

Three factors:

1) The B1G Ten is raping people that attend to see mediocre hockey for the most part.
2) Not wise bumping up against the opening two rounds of the NCAA basketball tourney.
3) Friday- Saturday attendance should be better than a Thursday 4:30 pm matinee and an 8:00 pm game on a worknight.

Nonetheless, Michigan will extend their season at least one more game thanks in part to the Larkin-Hyman-Selman line. Eight points I think for them.

Wisconsin played hard but is grossly over-matched and may not be as bad next season, but will still be at the bottom of the league losing both goaltenders.

I thought Michigan played okay for two periods, but relaxed up 3-0. Lazy, safe play led to Wisconsin pressure and their goal. Then to fight off a 2 man advantage- that could have been trouble. I expect MSU will come out physical considering that Michigan already played a game.

It’s simple. Michigan scores first, they win. They don’t, they lose.

  • I also had a hunch that Ohio State would beat Penn State. Seems that the Lions lost their starch last weekend in Minnesota after getting hammered twice. Clean game with no penalties and up and down action. OSU had their number this season like PSU has Michigan’s number. Good riddance. No cigar for the Bucks on Friday, though. I think Minnesota will exploit their defense even though the Bucks are 7-3-1 in their past 11 games.

    Ex-factors:

Michigan and Michigan State will be playing for their 6th time this year with Michigan leading the series 3-2 and coming off a loss to Sparty last Saturday night at Yost Ice Arena.
