Michigan Wolverine Recruiting: Kentrail Moran (RB) 2016 Prospect
Kentrail Moran, a 2016 running back prospect from O’Fallon, Illinois and plays for O’Fallon high school and has high interest in Michigan right now. He was very high on the previous staff and this new staff under Jim Harbaugh as well.
Moran has stated publicly on twitter that Michigan has been his leader along with he would be making his decision sometime in May.

Greg Mattison was his recruiter under Brady Hoke and that hasn’t changed with the new staff. Kentrail even stated how good it was that Coach Mattison was staying on with Michigan and saying to anybody that follows him “Great talk with Coach Mattison business is good! 〽️”.
When it was first announced that Jim Harbaugh would be the next head coach at Michigan, Kentrail Moran went on record that he would likely commit as soon as he was able to visit with Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan coaches. Since then he has backed away from those comments a little bit and said his emotions probably got the best of him, but still insist that Michigan is his clear leader.
Talking with Rivals, it seems that he is either playing his cards a lot closer to his chest or simply playing the recruiting game of trying to get more interest, more offers, and getting more attention. With the Illinois Rivals site he was asked if he has a front-runner, Moran answered with a simple “no, I do not.” Moran was quick to point out that he does not even have a top five at this point, or at least he is not ready to share it. “I’m open to every school,” Moran said. “Every school stands the same with me.”

Again, Moran said he would announce his commitment in May, but we will have to wait and see. This is one that could be interesting and for Michigan fans to take notice if or when Michigan coaches start offering more running back recruits in the 2016 class or not. That might just give you your answer on how strong Moran is with Michigan.

The 2016 recruiting class will be a lot bigger than the previous couple years of recruiting at Michigan which will be a good thing for Jim Harbaugh and staff to start bringing in their own players that they want to build around this Michigan program.
As of right now we have a total of 18 scholarships that will likely be handed out to the 2016 recruiting class, but we imagine this number will gradually go up with players transferring or deciding to leave Michigan.
So far, the 2016 recruiting class has Erik Swenson (OL) and Dele Harding (LB) in the class.
