Costello, seems to be favoring two local in-state programs in Stanford and USC, but it seems he has interest in Michigan as well especially when Jim Harbaugh came on-board as the Michigan head coach. Seems to want to make a decision soon, so the longer it goes the better chance Michigan has especially if he makes a visit to Michigan this spring for an unofficial visit.
Talking with Rivals, New Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh stopped by Santa Margarita recently and Costello is considering another trip to Ann Arbor in the coming weeks before making a decision.
“(Dylan) Crawford and I really liked Michigan when we were up there,” Costello said. “It was definitely one of my favorites while visiting all those schools. I didn’t know where they were going with the whole coaching staff.

“Now they have Harbaugh and some big-time coaches surrounding him. I’m definitely interested. He’s trying to start something new and build an unbelievable 2016 class and really get things rolling here. He was all fired up and I really dug him. He was cool.”

The 2016 recruiting class will be a lot bigger than the previous couple years of recruiting at Michigan which will be a good thing for Jim Harbaugh and staff to start bringing in their own players that they want to build around this Michigan program. As of right now we have a total of 18 scholarships that will likely be handed out to the 2016 recruiting class, but we imagen this number will gradually go up with players transferring or deciding to leave Michigan.
So far, the 2016 recruiting class has Erik Swenson (OL) and Dele Harding (LB) in the class.
