Moran isn’t the typical running back prospect that either Hoke or newly named coach Jim Harbaugh have gone after at the running back position. He is listed at 5’9, 186lbs., from O’Fallon high school.
As of right now he has six offers from Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Northern Illinois, and Syracuse.
With Jim Harbaugh keeping Greg Mattison on the staff you would think that Michigan would have a good chance of getting Davis since Mattison was his recruiter under the Brady Hoke staff as well.

Moran has had Michigan as his favorite for some time including before the previous staff under Brady Hoke offered. After they offered he was thrilled to the point to tell everybody who would listen that the Wolverines were his #1 team right now.
When it was first announced that Jim Harbaugh would be the next head coach at Michigan, Moran went on record that he would likely commit as soon as he was able to visit and talk with Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan coaches. Since then he has backed away from those comments a little bit and said his emotions probably got the best of him, but still insist that Michigan is his clear leader.
Here is his highlights:
