Michigan Wolverine Recruiting: Harbaugh to Visit McLane Carter
Gilmer, Texas high school football coach Jeff Traylor put out on twitter that Jim Harbaugh will be visiting his school this upcoming week and looking at his high school quarterback McLane Carter. This week the recruiting can begin after the January 14th when the dead period is lifted for high school recruiting.

McLane Carter is a 2015 quarterback recruit from Gilmer, Texas. At this point doesn’t have an college football offers, but reported that Michigan, Texas Tech, Florida, Oklahoma State, BYU, and some smaller schools have been in contact and interested in his services.

Don’t worry about the rankings, because that just usually means nobody has seen him play or he never went to any camps, combines, or 7on7 drill camps.
Will be interesting to see of Jim Harbaugh does indeed take another quarterback in this 2015 recruiting class knowing that the numbers for this class will be fairly small.
Michigan already has one quarterback in this class with Alex Malzone, who is already enrolled in classes at Michigan and will take part in winter conditioning, spring practice, and just getting acclimated with the campus. That is huge for a freshman to get on campus as early as possible and take a few classes to learn the campus, and be able to get a heads start on football especially if he believes he has a chance to learn and play his first year.
