Many reports had Miami Dolphins as one of the teams that would pursue San Fransisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh. Ross went after Harbaugh four years ago when Jim indicated he was likely going to the NFL. With Harbaugh ties to Michigan along with the west coast with coaching at Stanford it became a bidding war for his services.
With the 49ers job opening up it made an easy decision for Harbaugh to stay on the west coast and become a head coach there without picking up his family and moving across the country.
Stephen Ross a alum at the University of Michigan is reportedly helping his school bring in Jim Harbaugh.

Will be interesting to see if any other teams fall off the NFL coaching list this week. It is clear with the reported 6 year, 49 million dollar deal that has been reported along with saying it wasn’t accurate has put NFL team on notice that if they want his services they are going to come with a heavy price tag.
We have maintained that things look good for Michigan here, but we was burned before and cautiously optimistic in regards to Jim coming back home. As we have stated on the message board we will truly believe it when we see him in front of the Michigan podium, wearing a “M” hat and announced as the next Michigan football coach.
