Michigan Wolverine Football: Just A Couple of Opinions
My Thoughts:
1) I keep hearing that Coach Hoke and company has “lost the locker room”. Have to be honest, I really do not understand what that means. I personally could care less if a certain player, or players, like Coach Hoke or any of the coaches. They have a job, a responsibility during practices and games. And the expectations are they perform.
I do not know of any team that does not have some players who have issues with their coach. it is the nature of having top high school players come to a university, and some play more than others.
What I do have a problem with is, if coaches are aware of those so-called players, and those players continue to not perform in practices and on Saturdays, and yet they continue to see playing time, then that is a coaching issue, not a players dissension.

Murray-USA TODAY Sports2) Although I do not see enough progress with Michigan football for the past three years, the major issue at Michigan is the consistent play of our quarterback’s. We can talk about the weakness on our offensive line, the lack of performance of our wide receivers, and to some extent the lack of performance with our defense, but there is a reason why the quarterback is the most important position especially in today’s football and you can count on one had the number of games the Michigan quarterback has outperformed the opposition quarterback the last three years.
3) Okay, maybe CoachBT can discuss this, but here is a beef. Every game our cornerback’s get beat, and its mostly quick slants or they trail the wide receiver over the middle.
What my question is, I know they all watch tape, probably too much tape, but why is it they do not go to practice and say the the cornerbacks “I don’t care what you do this week, but you are not going to get beat inside”? Period.
Not only to they get beat all the time, even in 3rd and long situations, but as season progresses, it seems to get worse. There has to be something in practice they are not doing to prevent this.

5) I thought Kyle Kalis had a great game on Saturday.
6) I think they should find a way to use Khalid Hill more, he seems to be really improving.
7) The drop pass by Jake Butt really hurt.
8) If Jeremy Clark sees the field again, it should be at linebacker in pass coverage only.
More later this afternoon.
