Michigan Wolverine Recruiting: Bar-B-Q Weekend
Michigan is having their annual Barbeque at the Big House this weekend. Most of the recruits will come in on Sunday for the annual feast or as they use to call it “Junior Day”. Now with recruiting getting younger and younger the offer list and attendees is getting longer.
Even though the Barbeques isn’t until Sunday a lot of recruits are coming in Saturday to get a look around campus, bringing their parents which is always a great sign when Michigan is recruiting a prospect and Michigan does a tremendous job of bringing their already committed recruits in to help sell the program to these recruits that haven’t made a decision yet or their first visit to Ann Arbor.
Here is a list of recruits that we have gathered that will most likely attend. Sometimes things happen and either some will bail out or will visit at the last minute. This list was gathered by the help of twitter and those following recruiting.
Most of the commits from the 2015 and 2016 recruiting classes will be in town as well except for those that live far away which is expected when they have to pay their own way to Ann Arbor.

As you can see the list of 2015 isn’t as big as the 2016 recruiting targets by design.
They are only looking for a small group to fill the remaining spots for hte 2015 recruiting class so they are being somewhat selective. Now the 2016 targets are larger because the focus on recruiting has changed to this class not because they already have most of the class done, but because this is the first opportunity in a lot of cases for these 2016 or even now 2017 prospects to see the campus or their families first visit.
As we mentioned at the beginning recruiting is getting earlier and earlier so the more times you can get the recruit and his family on a visit to Ann Arbor the better of a chance you have to land that recruit along with getting him comfortable not only with the area, but also the school, players, coaches, etc…
