CoachBt:

UMs margin for error in this game is 0. They must play the perfect game, no turnovers, no penalties, no special team gaffes. last two weekls have been anything but perfect. Think UM pulls it together and give Wisconsin run for their money. They fall just short of acheiving Coach rich Rods biggest win.

Wisconsin 45 — Michigan 35

ErocWolverine:

This game we will see if Michigan shows if they really have improved or this team has just played bad teams lately.

Wisconsin coming off a blowout win against Indiana has a lot to play for this game, but also will they come in over confident with the win against Indiana where everybody is talking about the blowout.

Michigan is playing probably the toughest game of the season with the standpoint of what it means to the program at this stage.

Going to be a tough game for Michigan. Which they must play a almost “perfect game” to beat Wisconsin or Wisconsin must have several mistakes (turnovers) and a lot of them to happen for Michigan to win.

The biggest key is early on and can Michigan stay ahead or even with Wisconsin. They cannot afford to get behind or let Wisconsin dictate the game tempo.

Think Michigan might struggle trying to defend their offense with their power game. The biggest thing with Wisconsin’s running game that makes it work is their play action pass as well. It could be the big factor in the games especially if Michigan keeps creeping closer and closer to the line of scrimmage trying to stop the run.

On offense Michigan needs to keep the gas on and try and make Wisconsin tired and not expect the speed factor of Denard Robinson.

I think in the end Michigan comes up short in this game.

Wisconsin 42 — Michigan 27

WerlsWolverine:

Here’s hoping we have no turnovers and take at least a few from them.Time to play our best game of the year all around.

Wisconsin 31 — Michigan 34

Yostmeister:

Wisconsin may be the best Big Ten team right now, well, at least in BCS ranking terms. They have played a better conference schedule than MSU (beating Iowa and Ohio State) and only lost to MSU on their home turf. (The jury is out as to whether MSU can go to Happy Valley and finally win next week, and whether Ohio State can win at Iowa.)

They played their typical soft nonconference schedule, although beating a decent Arizona State team on a missed extra point was more of an escape. That was their lowest scoring output so far this season at 20. They are in the top ten in rushing in the country, and top 25 in passing. They average 40 points a game, no surprise when you run up the score on threats like Austin Peay (70-3) and Indiana (83-20). Their defense is 23rd overall and is solid, but not spectacular. The only two games standing in their way of a BCS berth and a possible share of the Big Ten Title is Michigan and Northwestern at home next week. Neither are gimmee games, although I think Northwestern will be provide more defensive resistance.

Michigan, on the other hand, is trying to win at least one signature game this season against a better opponent. They will have to play a perfect game against a lineup that will outskill our defense and can contain our offensive threats. RR’s glaring defensive personnel issues combined with a (IMO) poor scheme will be exposed again. If there is work to do in the offseason, that, and special teams will be the areas to focus. A loss Saturday and next week in the finale at the Snakepit will probably secure a 7th place conference finish (providing Northwestern and Penn State win at least one more game each) and a minor bowl trip. A win either Saturday (more likely) or next week will provide a better bowl and a more upbeat outlook in 2011.

Pains me to write it, but Wisconsin rolls behind their bevy of running backs. Let’s just hope that Bielema doesn’t try to run up the score on Senior Day. But hey, the Big House doesn’t intimidate anyone any more and Wisconsin has been on the opposite side of the blowout ledger before.

Wisconsin 45 — Michigan 24.
