GBMWolverine: Mailbag Question — Michigan Football Recruiting — A few Commits the last several days

>Well we have gotten a few commits the last several days. Can you give me a brief summary of what you think of the pick-ups? Should we be excited for them all? How will they fit into the new Michigan.

Also can you break down Will Campbell as well I haven’t seen you guys talk about him on here? Looks like we might be getting #4 soon as well from some of the reports. Seems like the coaching staff is on a roll.

Thanks
Greg

GBMWolverine Response:

Got this question before #4 was announced.

Getting a verbal from quality players is always exciting. Just remember thee are no guarantees. Some kids work out and some do not. All three have skill sets that could fit into any type of schemes or packages. All three are also capable of playing multiple positions. That is always a good thing.

William Campbell:
He is a big strong athlete who has excellent movement skills for player his size. What separates him from many other big bodies his he plays the game with a nasty edge and excellent explosiveness. He is also very physical and excellent hitter. Big Will has one of the best bull rushes I have seen from a high school Defensive Tackle. He does need to learn more than just bull rush, but sky is the limit potential wise for him.

Justin Turner:
This kid fills like a linebacker from his corner-back position. He is an excellent tackler who hits with a vengeance. Good cover skills, but is not pure cover corner at this time. He can also help on special teams. Turner just seems like a natural strong safety, but has enough coverage skills to able to help in nickel.

Teric Jones:
Teric is lightning in a bottle. Not just fast, but quick and explosive also. Shows good hands and nice break out of is cuts. He uses speed and quickness to easily separate from defenders. Also shows a physical side to his game. He also has potential to be excellent special teams player. both in the coverage and return game.

Isaiah Bell:
He has great combination of size and movement skills. He is an excellent tackler and big sticker. He fills inside and the lane very well. Reads plays well and reacts to ball in the air. Potential play multiple positions and be excellent on special teams. He Needs to be more consistent on his angles. Also tends to drop his head when tackling.
