• Series History: Tonight’s game will be the only meeting of the season between Michigan and Penn State. Overall, U-M has a 29-12 record against PSU. The Wolverines have a 17-2 record in Ann Arbor and have won last three against the Nittany Lions. Michigan and Penn State met three times a year ago, including an 84-78 Penn State loss in State College, the only win for the Nittany Lions in the last seven meetings.

• Penn State comes to Ann Arbor with a 9-8 record and a 0-4 Big Ten mark.
• Penn State has lost five of the last six games including its last four. In fact, three of PSU’s losses have been by three-or-fewer points — Princeton (81-79, OT, Dec. 14), Minnesota (68-65, Jan. 8) and Indiana (79-76, Jan. 11).
• Five players are scoring in double figures for the Nittany Lions, led by 17.3 points per contest from D.J. Newbill, sixth-best in the Big Ten, and 16.6 points per game from Tim Frazier, seventh best in the conference. Penn State is averaging 77.4 points per game, fourth-most in the league.
• Penn State is led by their backcourt duo of D.J. Newbill (17.3 ppg) and Tim Frazier (16.6 ppg). Combined they account for 44 percent of the PSU’s offense. Travis Ross leads with 8.3 rebounds per game, while scoring 11.2 points per game.
• Penn State is allowing 73.7 points per game, the most of any team in the Big Ten, and its opponents are shooting 35.2 percent from three-point range, highest in the conference.
• After missing last season with an Achilles injury, Tim Frazier returns and is averaging 16.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
• Penn State is shooting 34.4 percent from long range and takes on average 20.3 three-pointers per game.

• Michigan has won five straight games and is 11-4 overall. The Wolverines are 3-0 in Big Ten play after picking up early road wins at Minnesota (63-60) and at Nebraska (71-70).
• Michigan returns home for its eighth home game of the season. U-M is tied with Nebraska for the fewest home games among all Big Ten teams.
• During its five-game winning streak Michigan is averaging 72.8 points per game, shooting 51.4 percent from the field. In three Big Ten games, U-M has shot a conference best 53.5 percent from the field.
• After missing most of the second half at Minnesota (Jan. 2) with an ankle injury, Glenn Robinson III has posted back-to-back double figure scoring games with 12 against Northwestern and 19 at Nebraska. He has shot 62.5 percent from the floor (14-for-25) over the last two games.
• Jordan Morgan has shot 78.6 percent from the field (11-for-14) since entering the starting lineup, averaging 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. U-M’s game at Nebraska marked the 100th career start for Morgan, making him the 20th Wolverines to reach the century mark.
• Derrick Walton Jr. is shooting 50.0 percent in Big Ten play (7-for-14) and 50.0 percent from long range (3-for-6). He has gone to the free throw line 17 times, just one behind Nik Stauskas’ 18 trips.
• Spike Albrecht leads U-M with a 4.9 assist/turnover radio as he has 39 assists to just eight turnovers. He recorded a career-best six assists against Houston Baptist.
