GBMWolverine Game Predictions and Commentary:

CoachBt:

If Denard Robinson plays and is close to 100% healthy.

Michigan 42 — Indiana 31.

Without Denard Robinson

Michigan 35 — Indiana 34.

Doc4Blu:

The weather is good for Bloomington and there is a small chance of rain.

Indiana will isolate and pick on certain parts of the UM defense. UM can probably take what IU gives the entire day. Neither team can afford a more than -1 or -2 in the turnover category and hope to win.

UM may forlorn any field goal over 35 yards and just go for the first down. This game could have a wonderful entertainment value but be an atrocity if UM throws away a golden chance to go into MSU at 5-0.

The offensive line play is my key to the game and on defense, can anyone play the flats or can be middle be sealed. The coaching question will be what will each side do to try and take away the big play?

Michigan 37 — Indiana 31

ErocWolverine:

Big Ten action is finally here and after a 4-0 start the real season begins. This is where we find out how good Michigan really is or can be this year.

Last year at this time a lot of Michigan fans were talking about how great this team would be, how great Tate was doing and how Michigan is back. Well lets skip past Michigan’s last years Big Ten season.

Both teams are undefeated coming into this game and both teams really didn’t have a tough non-conference schedule when you look at the results of those teams.

Indiana will score and score a lot in my opinion with their pistol offense along with a shaky defense that Michigan has.

Yes the defense looked a little better against Bowling Green, but yet again it was Bowling Green with a back-up quarterback as well.

Michigan needs to come out strong and get on the scoreboard early to dash any early hype Indiana might have by playing on the national stage in front of their hometown fans.

Of course Michigan looks a lot better on offense with Denard Robinson running the show, but both Devin Gardner and Tate Forcier are both capable of beating Indiana as well.

This game is going to come down to defense and who can make the stop.

Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to who has the ball last with a couple of minutes to go and Indiana has it.

Michigan needs to keep the turnovers down. Last year in the non-conference schedule they had very few turnovers, but when Big Ten action kicked in so did the turnovers and that is what cost them at least two games last year.

Michigan 45 — Indiana 34.

MaizeMan:

On the surface looks like a close game. But UM will come out fast—-score early—and never lead by less than 14 after the first quarter.

Offensively—-no matter which QB has to play—-UM basically does what it wants offensively. The trend of winning the TO battle continues—-In addition—–Roundtree and Stonum both have good days because Indiana will sell out trying to stop UM’s running game.

Defensively—-Although Indiana moves the ball and has a decent day statistically—-Indiana will suffer from both untimely TO’s and inability to put long scoring drives together. Indiana will move the ball between the 20″s –but bog down at times in redzone.

UM on the other hand is a much better “redzone” team—-and that will be the difference.

After Indiana—-the real season begins.

Michigan 42 — Indiana 28.

WerlsWolverine:

I hate feeling worried about this game. Is Indiana’s offense good? Yes they are but I believe Michigan’s is better. Is Michigan’s defense bad? Yes they are but I believe Indiana’s is worse. What’s to worry about?
