Yaxel Lendeborg is bleeding Maize and Blue like he spent his entire college career in Ann Arbor. With the way that he reps Michigan, no one would believe he spent just one season with the Wolverines. It was that one season, though, that got Lendeborg a National Championship win and boosted his draft stock.
Now, after one season with the Wolverines, Lendeborg is making his mark with the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Summer League. Soon, he will be heading to California to see what damage he can do in the NBA during the regular season, but that doesn't mean he is forgetting about Michigan.
Even after leaving Michigan for the pros, Lendeborg is working to build the future in Ann Arbor, starting with five-star 2028 recruit Brady Pettigrew. The five-star was just recently offered by Michigan, and Lendeborg was in his comments telling him the 'right move' is Michigan.

Brade Pettigrew would be a home run commitment for new Michiga HC Mike Boynton
As Mike Boynton gets settled into his new role at Michigan, he hasn't wasted time handing out offers. Boynton certainly shouldn't skip a beat when dealing with recruiting, being one of the top recruiters on Dusty May's old staff. He has already handed out a few offers, including one to Pettigrew.
The five-star guard has a total of 29 offers so far, many of them from blue-blood schools like Kentucky, Florida, Duke, and others. Michigan was a little later to the party on his offer, but that could be due to the May news breaking a couple of weeks ago.
Now that Boynton has given Pettigrew an offer, he will have to work hard to get him out of the state of Illinois. As a Boilingbrook, Illinois native, this will be a tough battle with Brad Underwood and the Illini, as they have the in-state card to play. Boynton, however, has the National Champion card to play, and if he can make a deep run, or even go back-to-back this season, it could be what Pettigrew needs to make a commitment to the Wolverines.
Boynton is only on a two-year deal at Michigan, so while success on the court is of the utmost importance, success on the recruiting trail is a close second. Pettigrew would be a huge commitment for Boynton in his new position, and Lendeborg is trying to give him an assist in this instance.
Lendeborg knows what it is like to come into the Michigan program and even play under the coaching excellence of Boynton. So, if a player like Lendeborg is commenting on your posts, telling you what the right choice is, it isn't a bad thing to listen to him.
There is still a lot of time for Pettigrew to commit, especially being a part of the 2028 recruiting class, but Lendeborg is doing his best to help out the team that got him a National Championship win.
