J.J. McCarthy might be the biggest X-factor in the entire National Football League.

The Minnesota Vikings have all the pieces to be a Super Bowl contender. They have some of the best skill position players in the NFL, but there is also a big question mark surroudning the quarterback position.

Former Michigan football quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, the greatest college quarterback in Wolverines history, is expected to be the starting quarterback. The Vikings passed on the chance to re-sign Sam Darnold, along with the chance to sign Aaron Rodgers to stick with McCarthy.

The top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason last year, after a multi-touchdown game.

Now, McCarthy is back on the field and certainly looked 100 percent on Tuesday, according to some training camp videos circulating on social media, which includes a touchdown pass to Justin Jefferson on the first play from scrimmage in Vikings training camp.

McCarthy threw another touchdown later in practice. Michigan football fans do not doubt how good McCarthy can be.

The Michigan football legend only lost one game as a starter in two seasons with the Wolverines. He had a 2-0 record against Ohio State, and also played a role in a third win as a freshman, thanks to a dart to Roman Wilson.

McCarthy got a reputation for just being a "handoff specialist" at Michigan, but anyone who has seen him play knows that's not accurate. The Chicago Bears even considered him with the No. 1 overall pick in a new revelation.

That's because McCarthy is legit and he's going to prove that in Minnesota this season.
