Two former Michigan football players who played key roles in the past two wins over Ohio State, have received NFL minicamp invites.

The Michigan Wolverines had seven players selected in the 2025 NFL draft, including three first-round picks. There were even more players signed as rookie free agents and on Friday, two more former Michigan football players earned an NFL opportuity.

Aamir Hall, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound defensive back, came up with an interception against Will Howard near the goal line in the Wolverines 13-10 win. Michigan football scored a touchdown following the Hall interception.

Hall also picked off a pass against Northwestern. He had 25 tackles total and four pass breakups. Hall went undrafted, but the former Michigan football defensive back has been invited by the Lions to rookie minicamp for a tryout.

The objective will be earning a contract and a spot on the 90-man roster ahead of training camp. Quentin Johnson, best known for his hit on Emekua Egbuka in the 2023 edition of "The Game" whicih ended up as a 30-24 win for the Michigan Wolverines.

Johnson has been invited to rookie minicamp by the Falcons. Just like Hall, the former Michigan football player will need to earn his way onto the 90-man roster. This is a positive step, though. He's got 79 career tackles, one interception, and a forced fumble.

Hall is listed as a safety for the Lions. That's where Johnson plays too. His best path might be special teams, but either way, both players at least found a way to keep their NFL dreams alive.
