If you weren't planning on going to No. 11 Oklahoma vs. Michigan this weekend because the ticket prices were too high, well, you can't use that excuse anymore. After Michigan fans backed The Big House for the Wolverines in Week 1, it doesn't look like they are as apt to go and watch the potential struggles in Week 2.
When Michigan vs. Oklahoma odds dropped before the season began, the Wolverines were a little less than a field-goal favorite over the Sooners. Now, after Michigan struggled heavily against Western Michigan, needing a miracle Hail Mary to beat the Broncos, the Wolverines are now 4.5-point underdogs.
Oddsmakers seem to have lost faith in Michigan against the Sooners, and according to ticket prices, it looks like the fans have too. Ticket prices were sky-high for this matchup before Week 1, getting as high as around $400, and now, if you are looking for a last-second ticket, you could pay as little as $48.

It seems Michigan's fans aren't running to get tickets after the disaster of a performance that their team put out on the field in Week 1. It is a noon kickoff, which no one wanted anyway, but now it looks like Michigan could lose the strong home-field advantage it was expected to have with this game in The Big House.

It is interesting to see the ticket prices so low and so many still available, especially after the fans stormed the field after the win over Western Michigan in celebration.
This is quite the statement to see prices drop so drastically in the span of a week for a game that was looked at as one of the top matchups this week. This game went from possibly a Top 15 matchup to Michigan fighting to stay relevant in the rankings after dropping out completely.
Michigan has one of the best, if not the best, atmospheres in college football, with The Big House being a very hostile place to play. It doesn't seem like Oklahoma will get that treatment with ticket prices like that, and Sooners fans even making last-minute decisions to make the trip to Ann Arbor.
This is a big of an overreaction by the Michigan fanbase, though. Sure, the Wolverines look really bad in Week 1, but it was the first game of the season with a brand new coaching staff. Don't mistake this for me making excuses for Michigan because I am not, but you can't always totally judge a team on just one performance at the beginning of the season.
Michigan will need the fans on their side against Oklahoma for the home field advantage, so Wolverine nation needs to show up loud and proud to help their team get the upset victory and prove they are not who they showed in Week 1.
