Social media and shows like ESPN's First Take have degraded society and because of that some people are more boisterous then others when it comes to using their platforms for rationale common sense. There are a select few that abuse the free speech moniker that is our birth right, but should be held accountable for what they venture to say time and time again.
On Tuesday, a report from ESPN said that Michigan football would self-impose a two-game ban on head coach Sherrone Moore for his part in the sign-stealing investigation that will not go away. The report was not even confirmed yet by anyone at the university, and pure outrage erupted immediately because rushing to judgment is the only way to think anymore.
The Michigan insider, Sam Webb of 247 Sports, publicly stated that "nothing is final" from a Michigan football perspective, meaning Michigan can still fight it. The only ones that seem to care about it are the ones who exploit themselves to those who live for and encourage this nonsensical blasphemy.
For those wondering, Michigan has never fired its football coach, unlike its rival, over a trend that keeps getting pedaled into exhaustion by Michigan State and Ohio State deadbeats on social media. The responses to their unacceptable behavior from some, who are as cynical and pessimistic as they come, are completely and totally asinine.
Attacking the university's administration on a podcast is a disgrace to a reputation, but these antics have gotten as stale as time itself. Handing out the James Yoder treatment again is a feasible action to the consequences when you decide to speak your opinion against the school you supposedly love.
The university should also seriously consider entertaining legal action this time and banning these "so called" Michigan fans from the campus and sporting events in general. Their constant, hostile rhetoric that bashes the student athletes on their "glorified message boards" is worthy of such harsh punishment.
