One thing that's difficult nowadays is trying to figure out who will be playing in the bowl game. For Michigan football at least, we got some clarity on Friday.

At running back, according to Zach Shaw of The Michigan Insider, Jordan Marshall will be the No. 1 running back with Benjamin Hall as the backup.

It's a great opportunity for Marshall. Michigan football wanted Justice Haynes, that was obvious with the way the Wolverines pursued him and beat out some SEC programs for his commitment.

But Marshall was a top-100 recruit. He's going to need to contribute next season and the ideal scenario would be a co-RB1 situation a la Blake Corum and Hassan Haskins in 2021.

Marshall and Hall aren't the only players getting an opportunity on offense. Myles Hinton isn't expected to play so Evan Link has been practicing at left tackle. He started nine games for Michigan football at right tackle this season.

Link was a four-star recruit coming out of high school but struggled in pass protection this season. It seems a little risky to have him at left tackle but the Wolverines also don't have a ton of options. 6-foot-8 freshman Andrew Sprague is one but according to what Shaw and other reporters saw on the practice field, he's expected to start at right tackle.

Outside of Bryce Underwood taking part in practice, Alex Orji's presence was notable. Interim offensive coordinator Steve Casula said that Orji was viewed as a full participant. He was taking second-team reps behind Davis Warren and it wouldn't be shocking to see him get a carry or two after a 29-yard run against Ohio State.
