Ohio State fans really don't like Roman Wilson.
It's easy to see why. The Michigan football national champion caught an epic touchdown against the Buckeyes in the 2023 edition of "The Game," which resulted in a 30-24 win for the Wolverines.
After the game, Wilson called out Marvin Harrison Jr., essentially for being soft after he had alligator arms on a Will Johnson interception that might have been the most important play of the game.
Since then, Ohio State fans have taken any opportunity to say that Wilson was a bust in the NFL. To be fair, he didn't do anything in his first NFL season.
Suddenly, though, Wilson has scored a touchdown two weeks in a row. After six receptions for 60 against the Bengals, which included a 38-yard touchdown, Wilson, the former third-round pick after helping Michigan football win the national title, found the end zone against the Browns, a team from Ohio, after a 12-yard reception from Aaron Rodgers.

It wasn't the only big play of the game for Wilson, who later caught a 49-yard pass from Rodgers, which is a career-long for the Wolverine.
Michigan national champion Roman Wilson is turning a corner in the NFL
Wilson now has 13 receptions this season for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the 2026 season. After zero receptions in 2024, Wilson earned some playing time last season, catching 20 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns. There was a long of 45 yards.
Wilson surpassed that on Thursday night. He's also starting to look like the dynamic wideout we knew with Michigan football.
Wilson was always a great route-runner. Speed was a weapon for him, too. He caught the game-tying touchdown against Alabama in the Rose Bowl and is starting to consistently displaying that big-play ability in the NFL.
With the 49-yard reception against the Browns, Wilson has caught at least one pass of 20 yards in three of four games this season. This is his second reception already of 38 yards or more. He's had one of those two weeks in a row.
Meanwhile, Harrison is the subject of trade talk. The former first-round pick is looking like a bust. He outperformed Wilson during their first two seaons in the NFL, but Wilson has more catches, touchdowns, receiving yards, and targets this season.
All of a sudden, Wilson isn't the one who looks like a bust.
