Tom Brady earns another accolade as one of the most influential figures in sports

Sports Illustrated recently released a list of the 50 most influential people in the world of sports. Included was none other than former Michigan Wolverine Tom Brady.

The greatest of all time was, in fact, a Michigan Wolverine. An overlooked Michigan Wolverine at that. Tom Brady was taken as the 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft after four years in Ann Arbor and the rest is history, literally.

Most recently, Brady was included on Sports Illustrated's list of the 50 most influential figures in the world of sports.

Despite going almost completely overlooked in the draft, Brady was actually apart of Michigan's National Championship roster in 1997, even though he backed up star quarterback Brian Griese.

In the NFL, Brady won. I mean, he literally won everything.

Now, as an analyst for FOX, Brady is continuing his career in the football world but now he's doing so off the field.

SI's list of influential figures includes the likes of gymnastics legend Simone Biles to the beloved dog of ESPN commentator and analyst Kirk Herbstreit.

"After winning seven Super Bowls as a player, the former QB will be back at the big game in February to cap off his debut season as lead analyst on Fox. He’s also an owner; Brady has a piece of the WNBA’s Aces and has been working toward buying part of the NFL’s Raiders, too," said Matt Verderame for the list.
