Michigan football is back. At least back at fall camp. We are now just 31 days from the first game of the season and the opening of the Wolverines national title defense.

Many have underestimated Michigan going into this season. Most pundits believe that they will contend for a playoff spot, while taking a step back.

It will be hard to match last season's 15-0 record. But, Michigan should have one of the best defensive lines and offensive lines in the country. Plus, every key game except Ohio State is at home and Michigan football hasn't lost at home since the pandemic.

Looking ahead to the 2024 season, here are four storylines to follow during fall camp.

Who starts at quarterback for Michigan football?

This is the question on the mind of most Michigan football fans. Kirk Campbell talked about the competition on Tuesday and said players will get reps based on seniority to start camp.

That means Jack Tuttle and Davis Warren will get the first reps followed by Alex Orji. How long will that last? It remains to be seen. The running ability of Orji is the X-factor. If he can take care of the ball and be effective throwing the ball, he offers the most upside.

But taking care of the ball is paramount and we'll see who does that the best during fall camp.
