The 2024 Rose Bowl was a Michigan football fan's dream come true. It had it all. The venue, the opponent, the stakes, the history, you name it. It will be a game that is talked about for ages like the 1998 Rose Bowl is to this day. Little did we know just how much it would change the landscape of college football until weeks afterward. Let's relive some of the most fondest memories in Michigan football history for the program's, and college football's leading, win number 1,003.

1st quarter

The Wolverines went off script on the first snap of the day. Their run-first offense did not run it and instead, J.J. McCarthy rolled around the pocket and threw an interception to current Ohio State Buckeye Caleb Downs, and the nerves intensified immediately. Thankfully the play was overturned and Michigan football harmlessly punted it away.

On the defense's first drive they set the tone early by making Jalen Milroe eat dirt, twice on the first possession. Alabama gave it right back, but only for Semaj Morgan to muff the punt. The Tide cashed in with a Jase McClellan touchdown scamper. Bama struck first. However the maize and blue would not let themselves be denied in the moment and they regrouped and marched down the field to tie it thanks to a productive series from Blake Corum. It was all nodded up at seven after the opening quarter.
