CB2: Jyaire Hill

Michigan football fans know who the No. 1 cornerback is, but the Wolverines need to figure out who will start opposite of Will Johnson, who might be the best cover guy in all of college football.

Johnson was recently projected to go No. 3 overall in the 2025 NFL draft by ESPN. That's how talented he is. But Michigan football needs someone on the other side of the field who can cover too. Josh Wallace was that guy last season and transfer portal addition Aamir Hall is a candidate to take the job after being added to the roster in the spring.

However, it feels like it's Jyaire Hill's job to lose. Hall won't hand it over to him. Ja'Den McBurrows could work his way into the mix too, but Hill, a top-200 recruit coming out of high school, "took a big step" this spring according to DB coach Lamar Morgan and I see him winning the job.
